It brings the volcanic region of Laacher See with its unique volcanic landscape to life and gives a sense of the "effort" it takes the locomotives to overcome around 400 meters in altitude between the Rhine and Eifel. Open guided tours in the Ancient Technology World at the Meurin Roman Mine, Kretz During the guided tours in the Ancient Technology World, which is located in the outdoor area of the Meurin Roman Mine, the numerous workshops and reconstructed ancient machines, such as the crane system and marble saw, are explored together with a tour guide and some are put into operation. Visitors can try out selected stations themselves under supervision.
