Join "Laachus"—the floating stone—on a journey of discovery through the Laacher See volcanic region and uncover the mystery of his origins. Along the way, "Laachus" passes numerous stops and tourist highlights, learning about the legends of the region surrounding Lake Laach. Scattered along his path through the volcanic region are a multitude of geocaches related to "Laachus" and his journey.

The caches offer a colorful mix for all tastes! From tricky puzzles to strenuous hikes, as well as family-friendly and athletic tree-climbing activities, there’s something for everyone.

The cache series offers fun crafts that require a bit of time, as well as quick finds for your lunch break with parking right outside. Some geocaches are located near restaurants that support this project and, of course, at various stops along "Laachus’" journey.
