OrgelImpuls zum 4. Advent

On Friday, June 19, the Frankfurt Cathedral organist Andreas Boltz will play the next organ concert at 7 p.m. in the Maria Laach Abbey Church.

In addition to the moment of variety and contrasts, his program can and may also be understood as a sounding prayer for peace in these times: he interprets the 20th and last organ sonata by Rheinberger, which bears the title "Zur Friedensfeier", as well as works by the French-Baroque master Raison ("Da pacem, Domine"), an arrangement from Holst's "Planeten": Venus (Friedensbringer) and "Aalaiki'ssalaam (Friede sei mit dir - Variationen)" by Hakim, among others.
Total duration: approx. 60 minutes. Admission is free; a collection will be taken at the end for the preservation of the Laach organ concerts.
