We are pleased to welcome Meike Winnemuth for a reading at the Laacher Forum In her new book "One More Page – Why Reading Makes Us So Happy," she dedicates herself to her great passion: reading. Personally, intelligently, and with much curiosity, she explores the question of why books move us, occupy our minds, and sometimes accompany us far beyond the last page. The result is an entertaining and knowledgeable love letter to reading – and a book that immediately rekindles the joy of books.

With her new book, Meike Winnemuth is currently on a reading tour – making a stop in Maria Laach. We can look forward to an evening where she not only reads from “One More Page,” but also shares her personal passion for books and reading with us. She became well-known to many after her appearance on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” and her subsequent bestseller “The Big Win,” in which she recounts a year-long world trip through twelve cities. As a journalist and long-time columnist, among others for Stern, she has made a name for herself, as well as with her bestseller “In the Garden.” Now she dedicates her new book to a passion that is particularly close to our hearts as a bookstore – reading.
