Martin Seidler & Peter Grabinger: Poetry meets Music Erich Kästner's "The 13 Months"

Martin Seidler is one of the most recognized faces of SWR television and has been working as an editor and presenter for SWR since 1991. Currently, he is the host of "Kaffee oder Tee" and the moderator of "Landesschau Rheinland-Pfalz".

Peter Grabinger is one of the most versatile pianists in Germany. He completed the master class with Prof. Leonard Hokanson and has won numerous competitions. Currently, he is the musical accompanist for Pe Werner, JOANA, David Moore ...

The paperback "Die 13 Monate" by Erich Kästner arrived in the hands of Martin Seidler in the 1990s – a gift from his parents. Since then, this small impressive book has accompanied him! Together with pianist Peter Grabinger, he developed the idea of a literary musical stroll.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Stefan Neuhaus will open the evening with an introduction as an expert on Erich Kästner.

Information about the book:
In the early fifties, Erich Kästner received a commission from a magazine to write a nature poem once a month. Thus, these thirteen poems by a city dweller for city dwellers were created. Poems in which Kästner vividly brings nature to life with much wit and poetry, making the eternal cycle of the seasons visible.

The event is a charity event for the benefit of Fly & Help; all proceeds will be donated.
