Orgel-Impuls mit romantischer Sonate in Maria Laach

There is no doubt that Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio is an integral part of the Christmas season for countless people. That is why the first three cantatas will be performed in two concerts on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Maria Laach Abbey.

As always, the festive Christmas concert on New Year’s Eve aims to invite people to listen, linger, and reflect—the turn of the year is and remains an important moment for many.

Cappella Lacensis, the chamber choir of Maria Laach Abbey, will be accompanied by Cappella Confluentes, the Koblenz Baroque Orchestra, and soloists Angela Hinderberger (soprano), Claudia Scheiner (alto), Daniel Tilch (tenor), and Brother Jonas Hilger OSB (bass). Father Philipp Meyer OSB will conduct the concert.

The two concerts begin on Thursday, December 31, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. As always, tickets for both concerts are available online at www.maria-laach.de, at ticketregional, at the Maria Laach Book and Art Shop, or by phone at 06519790777.
