„Tratsch an der Zapfsäule“: Volkstümliches Theater auf der Kaiserbühne in Burgbr

Kaiserhalle Burgbrohl

7:30 PM

Spielort Theater from Polch offers an entertaining evening full of local flavor On Friday, September 11, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kaiserhalle in Burgbrohl, Spielort Theater—an independent theater group from Polch—will present “Gossip at the Gas Pump” for an entertaining evening. The play features “true,” whimsical, heartwarming, and hilarious stories that took place in the 1960s at a gas station in the Eifel region—perhaps in Burgbrohl. This hilarious comedy, performed in the Rhineland dialect, brings the Eifel way of life and sense of humor to the Kaiser stage. Local characters encounter neighbors and the authorities, turning everyday gossip into pure theatrical delight. A lighthearted, nostalgic evening about the people of the Brohltal region, the solidarity and individuality of the protagonists, and the locally characteristic, politically incorrect Eifel humor of the 1960s.

Fourteen dedicated amateur actors promise a lively evening of dance, song, and drama, brimming with nostalgia and local color. The ensemble is directed by Michaela Vary. The play was written by Wolfgang Röser, who drew inspiration from true events and set the story in the Brohltal valley of the 1960s. Residents of Burgbrohl assisted with research beforehand, ensuring that names and locations were authentically incorporated into the plot. Theatergoers can look forward to two carefree hours full of lightheartedness and humor.

The program continues at the Kaiserbühne on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. with blues legend Biber Herrmann. The audience can look forward to an evening filled with poetic songs and virtuoso guitar playing, blending rock, folk, and intimate acoustic blues. “For me, Biber Herrmann is the best blues musician far and wide, and I especially appreciate his original songs. The blues, as played by Biber Herrmann, is food for the soul,” said Fritz Rau, who was Germany’s leading concert promoter for over 50 years and organized tours for the Rolling Stones, The Who, Frank Zappa, Queen, ABBA, and many others.

Free parking is available not far from the Kaiserhalle, at the train station by the green barrier just past the gas station.
