Rodder Maar
Bat excursion with Karl-Heinz Kurth The Laacher See volcanic region offers all families from near and far a very special adventure. With the experienced volcano park guide Karl-Heinz Kurth, all participants can follow the trail of the "hunters of the night".
Under the guidance of experts, anyone interested is invited to observe birds, insects, and plants.
In particular, spotting bats in the evening promises to be a spectacular nature experience. Children will learn about bats in a fun, hands-on way.
Several bat species call Rodder Maar home, including the pipistrelle, the Daubenton’s bat, and the common noctule!
The activity lasts about two hours, but each participant can shorten their time as desired.
