Mountain biking through the volcanic region


Get on your bike and get out into nature! What could be better than exploring the volcanic region on a mountain bike? Past lush meadows and the fresh wind in your face. This promises to be a perfect day.

Well-prepared equipment, sufficient food and a full water bottle add to the fun of such a ride.

It is possible to travel to Niederzissen on the Vulkan-Expreß. This departs from Brohl/Rhine at 9.30 am. The mountain bike tour will of course not start until the participants arriving on the Vulkan-Expreß have arrived.


Helmets are compulsory!


Length of the route: approx. 30 km

Fee: €8.50 per person, which will be donated to the VOR-TOUR der Hoffnung (plus travel costs for the Vulkan-Expreß)

Meeting point: 10.00 am train station in Niederzissen

Fahrt mit dem Vulkan-Expreß

A trip with the Brohltalbahn is more than just a train ride. It is pure everyday deceleration, a true experience of technology and nature. It brings the volcanic region of Laacher See with its unique volcanic landscape to life and gives a sense of the "effort" it takes the locomotives to overcome around 400 meters in altitude between the Rhine and Eifel. Step on board and experience a unique narrow-gauge railway in the attractive landscape of the Eastern Eifel!
