Frank Homeyer has been working intensively with painting and photography since the 1980s. He has been practicing performance art since 2004 and continues to expand this medium to this day. Since 2018, the artistic forms of expression have merged more strongly. The principle of the unpredictable is central: Every performance is a unique event, a process of experiencing and failing, of finding and discarding. This performative approach also remains tangible in his photographic works. Photographs from performances are painted over, reworked and re-contextualized - as visual echoes of transient moments that are thus given a further dimension.

In the exhibition in the Kunstpavillon, the artist is showing motifs that were created on hikes and translated into photographic, painterly and experimental formats that are based on a performative impulse. Frank Homeyer will present this impulse as a performative walk and at the subsequent opening of the exhibition In Einem Traum.
