Niederzissen
The Jewish Museum in the former synagogue of Niederzissen will reopen its doors on this day and offers free guided tours from 14:00 to 18:00. All visitors are warmly invited to explore the museum and be inspired by the commitment of the members of the Cultural and Local Heritage Association of Niederzissen. They provide exciting insights and are happy to answer your questions.
At the same time, a painting exhibition by the ARE Artists' Guild titled "Moments of Life" will take place in the former synagogue room.
In addition, the Local Museum in the old school in Niederzissen (Marktplatz 1) will exhibit a collection of household and craft tools under the title "Exploring the Past for a Life without Electricity" (14:00 to 17:00, free admission).
The International Museum Day was established in 1977 by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and has been celebrated since 1978. Since 1992, the day has been accompanied by an annually changing motto. This year's motto declared by ICOM-International Councils of Museums is: Museums discover.
