The well-known musical satirist JP Weber is coming to Mendig with his solo program “Der Narr”.

Look forward to an exceptional evening full of music, humor, and Köln lifestyle. A solo performance by Jörg Paul Weber is much more than a concert – it is a musical journey through over 35 years of artistic creation in Cologne. With fine, Rhineland humor, he brings the Köln song repertoire closer to his audience while also presenting his own current compositions.

His mandolin – once a gift from Hans Süper – transforms in Weber’s hands on stage into a whole big band. In doing so, he uniquely combines the traditional Krätzchen culture with elements from jazz and powerful rock’n’roll. His expressive voice, with a range of three octaves, gives his songs a special depth – sometimes powerful, sometimes emotional, always authentic.

With over 5,000 concerts worldwide, more than 500 CD releases, and over 600 compositions, JP Weber is among the defining artists of the Köln music scene. All presented in the Kölsch dialect, with a lot of heart, humor, and a touch of melancholy.
In keeping with his motto: “A humorist must create a valley, so that a mountain becomes visible.”

Open Air! In case of bad weather, the event will be moved to the Laacher See Hall.
