In good weather, the viewing tower on the Weiselstein in the Wacholderheide offers a view as far as Cologne Cathedral. It is well worth the climb. In the district town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, the route along the Ahr is currently closed to traffic. The flood disaster in July 2021 destroyed large parts of the cycle path. Visits to the Ahrweiler district with its completely encircled old town wall and the spa district and center of Bad Neuenahr are always welcome and worthwhile. The "Schau ins Land" viewing hut above Dedenbach is a very good place to stop for a rest on the way back.

All loops can be shortened or lengthened by linking up with the neighboring loops.

The loops mostly lead along country lanes, some of which are asphalted. Only very few footpaths or stretches on foot.
