Workshop in der Kaiserhalle Burgbrohl
Nov 29, 2025
Burgbrohl
Under the artistic direction of Nathalia Grotenhuis, Axel Schweppe, and Karin Meiner (sound and performance artists), a collaborative rehearsal process with local musician Jan Stöber and choir members Armin Netz, Birgit Netz, and Anke Hietbrink results in a performance of approximately one hour that brings music, space, and movement into an extraordinary dialogue.
CIRCLES III builds on the earlier projects CIRCLES (2019) and CIRCLES II (2022). Once again, the architectural uniqueness of the Kaiserhalle – its distinctive dome shape – will be actively included in the musical event.
At the center is sound in motion: How does sound change as it moves through space? Sound objects are employed – unusual, new instruments that interact with the “co-player Kaiserhalle” in performative and acoustic actions.
The audience is seated in a circular arrangement in the space to directly experience the acoustic peculiarities of the hall. Each listener thus experiences an individual, spatially shaped sound performance. CIRCLES III invites you to experience sound as movement, space, and resonance – sensual, experimental, and unique.
CIRCLES III is a project by AIM Kulturprojekte im ländlichen Raum e.V. in cooperation with KulTOURnetz and part of the federal program “Aller.Land – shaping together. Strengthening structures.”
ADMISSION IS FREE. YOU ARE WELCOME!
