Mendig

Susanne Arnold

With her novels, she takes you to the little town of Rosefield in England, where her friends Margret and Elizabeth experience exciting, quirky, and totally absurd adventures.
Susanne loves old England and captivates her audiences with wit and transformation skills during her readings. Anyone who likes Agatha Christie will love Susanne Arnold.

Kerstin Mohr “Egg Liqueur and Dead Hearts”
Born in 1980, married, three children. Studied journalism, political science, and book studies in Mainz and Pamplona and found her calling in writing.
In her current novel, the retiree Anneliese tries to bring light to a convoluted puzzle of love, secrets, and lies. A corpse, a shocked wedding party, and two amateur detectives. The material for a successful evening.

The duo Doppelton sets musical accents:

The two Mendig musicians Holger Göttschkes and Wolfgang Süß – this time as an unusual duo. With electric bass and cajon, they roam the music world and bring together what seems to not fit together. AC/DC, but with cream, please!

IN WELCHER WELT WOLLEN WIR 2024 LEBEN?...

The performance artist Matthias Schamp will set up a seesaw exactly in the middle of the municipal boundary line between the VG Bad Breisig and the VG Brohltal starting Monday, September 22, specifically = on the boundary between Burgbrohl-Lützingen and Brohl-Lützing, or between Oberlützingen and Niederlützingen. As part of the project RENT AN ARTIST, AIM e.V. has invited the Bochum artist, who offers the following menu: A seesaw is located on the Brohler Weg precisely on the municipal and association community boundary. Daily, Matthias Schamp is available for seesawing from 4 to 5 PM, where his first service is that he takes the position of Oberlützingen and as a second service, he seesaws on the side of Niederlützingen. For everyone who participates in seesawing, an artistically designed certificate will be issued.

Winterfahrten mit dem Vulkan-Expreß
Jan 17, 2027 - Feb 28, 2027

It's a peaceful setting as the historic "Vulkan-Express" of the Brohltalbahn sets off for its popular winter journey from the Rhine to the Eifel. Upon reaching the destination after about an hour's train ride through the hopefully snow-covered Brohltal, passengers can look forward to a winter hike with a stop at a barbecue hut. The Brohltalbahnhof in Brohl-Lützing on the Rhine exudes tranquility even before departure: The historic diesel locomotive stands ready in front of the nostalgic passenger cars, providing a cozy warmth in the compartments. Instead of QR codes on smartphones, passengers receive original cardboard tickets at the counter in the station building, which beautifully set the mood for the upcoming nostalgic journey. At 11:15 AM, when the connecting trains from Cologne and Koblenz have arrived, the conductor finally whistles for departure to the Eifel.
