Route "Gut Schirmau - ab Weibern"

! This description is a supplement to the GPS track. It alone is not sufficient to find the route. !

From the parking lot, we start in the direction of the end of the village (via the cycle path on the opposite side of the road) and turn left onto a tarred farm track after passing the Lidl supermarket. We follow this tarred road to the underpass at the B412. After the underpass, turn left at 90° and cycle uphill parallel to the B412. A short stretch of district road and another farm track leads us to the Rottlandhöfe farms. After crossing the farms, we cycle along a well-maintained dirt road around the "Engelner Kopf" to reach the district road 60 on the other side of the wooded head. We ride up this road for a short distance, turn left to the Engeln sand pit and follow the tarred road to the farms behind the sand pit. Turn right at the farms and follow the road and the tarred road straight on through the village of Hannebach. We follow this tarred path through the next village, Schelborn. After Schelborn, we turn right onto the district road 52, follow it for approx. 200m and then turn left into the forest. Follow the forest path (be careful!) to the Schirmau forest estate, then stay on this path until just before the village of Oberdürenbach. Here we turn left onto a short tarred strip and the following forest path in the direction of "Rodder Maar". We pass this and stay on the forest path which leads past "Mariaköpfchen", a barbecue and hiking hut, into a tarred road. We ride straight on and roll down to Niederzissen. We wind our way through Niederzissen and leave the village on the other side up through Klosterstraße. Parallel to the 61 highway, we use the paved service roads and country lanes in a southerly direction. We also pass between the industrial estate and the highway service area, both of which are called "Brohltal Ost". After "Brohltal Ost", we turn left off the road onto the field and forest path to "Dachsbusch". This path is also used by hikers following the "Wehrer Kesselweg". After the "Dachsbusch", we cross country road 114 at the level of the solar field and stay alongside the ribbon of highway 61 until the "Wehr / Nürburgring" junction. Here we use the underpass and head west along tarmac farm tracks up to the "Stumpig Kreuz", cross the K64 (AW) or K19 (MYK) and take the short ascent along the forest path to the "Windpark Weibern - Rieden". There we turn right onto the paved farm road and ride the last few kilometers downhill back to the starting point of the route (parking lot of the Tuffsteinzentrum).
